♡ MY COLORWORK INSTRUCTIONS ♡
this project must be done in HDC & 1 graph square = 1 HDC
must start on an odd row
even numbered rows will be the wrong side if you are right handed
odd numbered rows will be the wrong side if you are left handed
read the graph from right to left on odd rows, and left to right on even rows
if you make the graphic into a plain tapestry, I would suggest a starting chain of 6 more than the graph to leave 3 on each side, plus one turning chain each row; I would suggest starting graph on row 3 and working two blank rows after the graph is completed
add it to my pair of vests pattern (originally designed for this one)
using medium-light blue for the background, consider using the same color for the underwater scene if you will be making it on the opposite side
dirt block is 4 rows by 7 stitches, sea moss block is 4 rows by 10 stitches — you will simply repeat it across the bottom 4 rows of your panel, don't worry if the last repetition doesn’t quite fit
for the landscape and waterscape below, start graph on row 5 and stitch 3 (6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21) if you are making a vest

you will need about 40g each black, white, green, & brown/25g tan/20g each red & yellow/10g dark green (& 300g background color if doing a tapestry as listed above) in medium worsted weight yarn (4)
with 5mm hook & the following gauge: 5 rows of 6 hdc = 2x2” you should have a finished graphic 8 inches tall and 19 inches wide
