MATERIALS:
- 10g/20yds of weight 4 medium yarn (worsted weight)
- 5mm crochet hook (US H/8)
- scissors & yarn needle
ABBREVIATIONS & TECHNIQUES:
- magic circle
- chain (ch)
- half double crochet (hdc)
- slip stitch (sl st)
NOTES:
- this project takes about 10-15 minutes
- the example is worked in back and forth rounds, but it could also be worked in a spiral
PATTERN:
create a magic circle, chain 1
round 1: hdc 12 into magic circle (12) slip stitch to first hdc, chain 1, turn
round 2-4: hdc into each stitch around (12) slip stitch to first hdc, chain 1, turn
round 5: hdc into first 4 stitches, chain 4, skip 4 stitches, hdc into last 4 stitches (12) slip stitch to first hdc, chain 1, turn
round 6: hdc into first 4 stitches, hdc into the 4 chains, hdc into last 4 stitches (12) slip stitch to first hdc, chain 1, turn
round 7: hdc into each stitch around (12) slip stitch to first hdc, chain 1, turn
round 8: hdc into first 3 stitches, chain 6 (this will form the small loop), hdc into next 6 stitches, chain 20 (this will form the big loop), hdc into last 3 stitches; slip stitch to first hdc to close, fasten off
insert roll of bags, pass the big loop through the small loop, and use the big loop to attach your piece to a leash/keychain etc.
you should be able to just loosen the small loop to replace a new roll of bags. woof.
